Re: New Online Ticket System
As you may have heard, we are moving to an online ticket system which will be launching on 4th August 2020. It can be accessed through the website at Click here
Unfortunately, we are unable to transfer your existing record to the new system, so would kindly ask you to set up a new login and complete the required fields in order to purchase your bus ticket.
The types of ticket available are termly, or annual and can be paid for securely online with a credit or debit card or by setting up a direct debit. Those of you setting up a direct debit will see Stephensons (our sister company) on your statement rather than NIBSbuses. We will no longer be accepting standing orders, cash or cheques.
We are increasing the annual ticket discount to 3% and extending this increase to the direct debit tickets too. These discounts will replace the existing sibling discount.
The tickets will have a new look and are a type of smart ticket which links directly to our on-bus ticket machines. The tickets will know where your child travels from and to and how you have paid, so please ensure your child keeps it safe as it will not be replaced at the end of each term/year. Although, replacements will be available at a cost of £10 in case they are lost/damaged. Photographs are not required so, no last-minute panic to print and attach photos.
The ticket will be posted out to you/handed out during the first week of travel so please ensure that your child has a copy of the confirmation email on them as proof of payment. Most of our buses accept contactless cards in case you forget to order the ticket in time for use as if you have not purchased a pass you may be refused travel.
May I take this opportunity to remind you of our terms and conditions on the website and as always if you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Thank you for your patience while we introduce our new system.
